Linen color postcard of the Union Pacific Streamliner "City of Portland" (M-10001) rounding a curve through green wooded terrain. The articulated diesel train is shown in its distinctive yellow and brown livery with "UNION PACIFIC" lettered on the cars. Caption: "Union Pacific Streamliner 'City of Portland'." Card no. 6A478. Union Pacific Railroad Pictorial Post Card. Back carries a printed description identifying this as the first Pullman-equipped streamline train ever built, operating Chicago to Portland on a 39¾ hour schedule, powered by a 1,200 horsepower V-type Diesel engine with aluminum alloy cars. Unused.
