Antique & Vintage Postcards

Real photo postcard of the pilgrimage church at Filippsdorf (Czech: Filipov), Bohemia — a twin-towered Neo-Romanesque basilica set on open ground with small ornamental shrubs flanking the entrance steps. The card is identified on its reverse as the Wallfahrtskirche (pilgrimage church) of Filippsdorf, Č.S.R., though by the date of posting (May 1942) the region had been incorporated into the German Reich as part of the Sudetenland annexed in 1938.
