Antique & Vintage Postcards

The Witch House in Salem, Massachusetts is the only surviving structure with direct ties to the 1692 witchcraft trials — Judge Jonathan Corwin, who presided over many of them, lived here — and this hand-colored Photochrom postcard preserves it exactly as it looked before a 1945 restoration removed the commercial storefront visible at right. Published by the Detroit Photographic Co., pioneers of the Swiss Photochrom color process.
