Antique & Vintage Postcards

Blue-toned postcard of Poets' Corner in the south transept of Westminster Abbey, London — a dense assembly of memorials including full standing figures, seated allegorical monuments, wall plaques, and portrait busts. The central monument is the Shakespeare memorial (William Kent, 1740); to its left stands a tall figure (likely Addison or Campbell) on a column. The right side shows a large seated monument, probably the Handel memorial. Stained glass windows are visible at left.
