Antique & Vintage Postcards

Richly colored art postcard reproducing a still life oil painting by British artist Mary Golay (1869–1944) — a brass ewer with a lidded finial dominates the left, accompanied by ripe red tomatoes, a tumble of open mushrooms with dark gills, leafy herbs in the background, and a small glass oil cruet. The artist's name and the year 1907 are inscribed in the painting's upper left corner. Published by Raphael Tuck & Sons as part of their celebrated "Oilette" series, reproduced in Germany to the highest chromolithographic standards.
