Antique & Vintage Postcards

British artist Mary Golay's 1907 kitchen still life — a brass ewer, ripe tomatoes, a tumble of open mushrooms, and a glass oil cruet — was reproduced to the highest chromolithographic standard as part of Raphael Tuck & Sons' celebrated "Oilette" series. Tuck held the royal appointment as Art Publishers to the King and Queen, and their Oilette cards simulated oil-on-canvas texture on postcard stock, a technical showpiece of the Edwardian era.
