Antique & Vintage Postcards

A warm chrome-era color postcard depicting the inviting interior of the Morgan House restaurant dining room at Main Street, Lee, Massachusetts (Route 20 at Massachusetts Turnpike Exit 2). The image reveals a handsome Colonial-Revival dining room furnished with round and oval antique wooden tables, ladder-back and Queen Anne-style cane-seat chairs, and crisp white linen napkins fanned upright at each place setting. Deep red damask-patterned wallpaper, dark wood wainscoting, arched doorways, and oil-lamp candle holders give the room a rich, traditional atmosphere. A small bar cabinet is visible through a rear archway. The reverse notes the Morgan House as "Home of pleasant memories and the finest foods and liquors for over one hundred years. Delicious home cooked foods, pastries, breads and desserts served family style."
