Postcard 1910 Heartiest Congratulations Antique Auto Roses Embossed Germany

Poplar Mills, USA (mailed)1910Pre-linenExcellent

Bursting with Edwardian optimism, this richly embossed German-made greetings card presents an early horseless carriage — its wheels, radiator grille, and cargo bed entirely constructed from blue forget-me-nots and crimson roses — carrying a gilt-embossed sign reading "Heartiest Congratulations" against a soft cerulean sky. The automobile motif places this squarely in the novelty postcard golden age (c. 1905–1912), when the motor car was itself a symbol of modernity and celebration. Printed in Germany with characteristic chromolithographic depth and tactile embossing, it was sent by Beatrice to a Mrs. Eugene in Poplar Mills — a rural community — with warm congratulations. The "Made in Germany" imprint, undivided-style address format with a divided back, and domestic/foreign stamp rate instruction (1¢ / 2¢) are consistent with a circa 1908–1912 date. Publisher's monogram "MB" appears at lower left of reverse. The card retains vivid color and strong embossing relief.
