Postmarked Grand Forks, N.D., July 29, 1960, the card traveled south to St. Petersburg, Florida, where it reached a couple named Ralph and his wife. The sender — signing as "Al Walbers" — describes a road trip north, days of travel, time in the St. Paul area, and a lively gathering of five children, a dog, and six grownups, promising to be back around the 12th or 13th. A 4¢ Lincoln stamp in magenta (Scott #1036) franks the card.
