A candy-red 1950s-style saloon car is parked on the rocky road while two figures stand at the precipice admiring the view — a perfectly period image of mid-century Irish tourism. Photographed by E. Ludwig for the celebrated John Hinde Studios, whose saturated, almost hyper-real color process made Irish landscape postcards internationally iconic from the 1950s through the 1980s, this card represents the pinnacle of that aesthetic.
