Pre-linen era black-and-white photographic postcard of the Brusttuch, a famous late-Gothic merchant's house in Goslar am Harz, dating from 1526 and noted for its richly carved half-timbered façade and dramatically steep pointed roof. The caption reads "GOSLAR A. HARZ. Brusttuch v. J. 1526." A sign on the adjacent archway reads "Durchgang zu den Badehallen" (Passage to the Bathing Halls). Publisher: Louis Glaser, Leipzig, no. 7970. Posted Goslar, September 9 [c.1905–1910] to Prof. E.R. Hendrick, Columbia, Missouri, U.S.A. Stamp missing (torn). English message from "Willie A. Hoeretz" [?] written in neat hand.
