Titled "Wien — Der Leuchtbrunnen / Fontaine lumineuse," the card depicts one of Vienna's celebrated illuminated fountain displays, a popular attraction in the parks and exhibition grounds of the Ringstrasse era. The image, signed by the publisher's monogram "BKW.I." (Brüder Kohn, Wien), is a fine example of the Art Nouveau-adjacent chromolithographic postcard art that made Viennese publishers world-famous during the golden age of the picture postcard.
