Antique & Vintage Postcards

Real photo postcard of the Uta von Naumburg founder's figure (Stifterfigur) in the west choir of Naumburg Cathedral (Dom zu Naumburg), Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The iconic 13th-century sandstone statue of Margravine Uta of Ballenstedt is shown in a three-quarter view — her crowned head slightly inclined, one hand drawing her cloak collar up toward her face in her celebrated gesture, the folds of her robes carved with remarkable Gothic naturalism. Photography by Walter Hege. Published by Deutscher Kunstverlag, Berlin W8. Card no. 35. "Nachdruck verboten."
