Bold linen-era typography shouts "Greetings from Cedar Point on Lake Erie" in the classic large-letter format, each letter filled with a vignette scene — a crowded beachfront, a paddlewheel steamer flying American flags, an aerial view of the roller coaster, a shaded picnic grove, a whimsical castle-like ride building, and a glimpse of a wooden coaster. Postmarked August 25, 1937 from Sandusky, Ohio, this card captures Cedar Point in its pre-coaster-capital era, when it was beloved as a Great Lakes beach resort and amusement destination. Mailed with a 1¢ green Franklin stamp, the card was sent to a Mrs. Stringer at 601–14th Street in Port Huron, Michigan — the brief message signed by a sender named Nina reads simply as a cheerful holiday note. Published by G. A. Boeckling Co., the amusement park's own operating company, and printed by the legendary Curt Teich & Co. of Chicago.
