This linen-era card, published by Memphis Paper Co. and printed with the characteristic bright, slightly grainy texture of the 1930s–40s linen process, catches the building in its pre-war prime. The card made its way from Memphis's De Soto Station to a Mrs. Edward in Jackson, Tennessee, bearing a densely written message — the sender filling every available margin with news about a visit to the "little one" and talk of cold weather and coming home before Saturday.
