Linen Pirates Alley French Quarter New Orleans Louisiana Postcard 1940s

New Orleans, Louisiana1942LinenGood

Linen postcard showing Pirates Alley (also known as Orleans Alley) in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. The narrow cobblestone passage runs between multi-story brick buildings with green-painted wooden balconies and overhanging eaves, with a leafy tree at the far end and ornate cast-iron street lamps in the foreground. The atmosphere is distinctly of old France and old Spain.
