Antique & Vintage Postcards

With skirts flying and hat held aloft, a joyful Irish couple whirls through a lively jig on this beautifully chromolithographed and embossed St. Patrick's Day greeting — the woman in a swirling emerald silk gown, her dark-haired partner in a full green frock coat, knee breeches, and a green top hat, clutching a closed umbrella as they spin across a cream oval cartouche trimmed in shamrock-ribbon green. Captioned "St. Patrick's Day in the Morning," this card was published by the International Art Publishing Co. and carries their distinctive "Painting Only / Copyrighted by The Int. Art Pub. Co." front imprint, consistent with cards distributed in the 1907–1910 peak postcard era. The figures are rendered with exceptional chromolithographic detail — note the satin sheen of the gown and the animated, rosy-cheeked faces — making this one of the more visually dynamic St. Patrick's Day cards of its period. Unposted; corners show light wear typical of age.
