Antique & Vintage Postcards

Four children of British royalty cluster around a draped cradle holding a newborn infant, their faces a mixture of wide-eyed solemnity and tender curiosity — one small boy in a sailor suit leans forward to peer at the baby while the older children stand formally in their finest dress. The caption identifies them as "Children of T.R.H. Prince & Princess of Wales," and based on the birth years and the number of children visible, this photograph almost certainly dates to around 1900–1905, when the future King George V and his wife Mary were building their young family at Sandringham. Published by J.B. & Co. as card No. 595, this real photographic postcard (RPPC) format and the Edwardian royal family subject matter make it a genuine piece of British social history — the future King Edward VIII (David) and King George VI (Bertie) may well be among the children pictured.
