Postmarked Wien, 21 August 1990, a traveler (signed "Oma & Oma" — likely "Oma & Opa," grandmother and grandfather) writes to Bill and family in Glen Ellyn, Illinois: "We weren't able to hear the choir boys, but enjoyed a small orchestra playing Strauss in the park each night. From a hallway we listened to the Vienna Symphony in rehearsal. At one sidewalk cafe, a woodwind quintet played Beethoven." A wonderfully musical message on a musical card.
