Postcard Chrome Caleta Beach Acapulco Guerrero Mexico 1960s Vistacolor Unused

Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico1962ChromeExcellent

Caleta Beach on a busy Acapulco afternoon: the crescent of pale sand is packed with swimmers, sunbathers, and a beach photographer with his tripod aimed at the sparkling blue bay, palm fronds arching in from the right as resort hotels climb the hillside beyond. This Vistacolor chrome captures Acapulco at its mid-century tourist zenith — the 1950s and 60s were the city's golden era, when Hollywood stars and Mexican elite alike descended on its sheltered coves. Caleta, on the peninsula's quieter Pacific side, was the original resort beach before the hotel strip pushed northward. Photographed by Mark Turok for Ammex Asociados, this card was never mailed — its back is pristine, bearing only the publisher's bold red and blue printing — making it a clean example of high-quality Mexican chrome production for the collector seeking an unsent specimen from Acapulco's glamour years.
