Antique & Vintage Postcards

Bamboo paneling, log-beam rafters, and rattan furniture fill the dining room of the beloved El Yunqué Restaurant in this chrome postcard from Puerto Rico's tourism boom years — a CCC-era pavilion inside El Yunque National Forest that became one of the island's most iconic gathering spots before Hurricane Hugo destroyed it in 1989. The interior view preserves a piece of Puerto Rican social history that no longer exists to visit.
