German photomechanical postcard of a traditional thatched-roof cottage in the old quarter of Büsum, a North Sea resort town in Schleswig-Holstein. The low rectangular farmhouse with its steep conical thatched roof dominates the center of the image, surrounded by bare-branched trees, a wooden outbuilding to the right, and a figure standing in the doorway. The scene conveys the rustic pre-tourism character of this coastal community. Card no. 57 lower left reverse; publisher colophon reads "Schlesische Lichtdruckanstalt, A. Graph, Kunstanstalt, Breslau II (Tivoli)" along the right margin; catalog no. 23 928 h.
