A truck disappears into the portal of the La Porte–Baytown Tunnel in this 1958 chrome postcard, capturing an infrastructure landmark that no longer exists — the tunnel beneath the Houston Ship Channel was replaced by the Fred Hartman Bridge in 1995 and subsequently demolished.
