Antique & Vintage Postcards

Color lithograph advertising trade card from the Singer Manufacturing Company's 1892 "Costumes of All Nations" series, depicting a Neapolitan woman from Italy. A red-haired woman in Neapolitan provincial dress — white lace cap, yellow earrings, red and black bodice with blue shawl — sits at a Singer treadle sewing machine, working on a length of pink fabric. The Singer machine name is visible on the arm. The reverse carries a printed geographical description of Naples and a note that the picture shows the machine used in corset manufacture.
