The illustrated front shows two cartoon Dutch children in wooden clogs: a boy in a green cap and red neckerchief pushes a wooden wheelbarrow loaded with holly and a bundled sack, while a wide-bonneted girl rides along. Above them a kitchen shelf holds a blue plate, pink teapot, and yellow vase. The punny verse reads, "May you haf mutch choy ven Christmas rolls 'round alreadty" — a charming mock-Pennsylvania Dutch accent that was enormously popular in the early novelty postcard trade.
