The wide view, shot from an upper-storey vantage, reveals the full canyon of Belle Époque apartment façades, awning-shaded shop fronts, and the monumental neoclassical building at the left (likely the Palazzo Gravina area), while the foreground fountain teems with figures — a policeman in white, vendors, loungers — creating an unintentional street-photography masterpiece.
