Postcard 1930s Guanajuato Mexico University Cathedral Cityscape RPPC Unused

Guanajuato, Mexico1938RPPCGood

From a high vantage point above the terracotta rooftops, this real photo postcard sweeps across the dense colonial cityscape of Guanajuato, Guanajuato — a silver-mining boomtown turned UNESCO World Heritage site — to frame two of its most iconic structures in a single composition: the flamboyantly ornamented Universidad de Guanajuato with its wedding-cake battlements and arched loggia at left, and the twin-towered Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guanajuato with its elaborate Baroque dome at right, both rising from a tangle of flat-roofed vernacular buildings climbing the hillside behind them. Shot on Kodak paper (confirmed by "Papel Sello Kodak" reverse imprint), this crisp, cloud-filled image captures the city in the 1930s–1940s, when its colonial streetscape was still remarkably intact and motorized traffic minimal. An unused card in very clean condition.
