Postcard c1910 Basilika Vierzehnheiligen Pilgrimage Church Bavaria Germany Unused

Vierzehnheiligen, Bavaria, Germany1910Pre-linenExcellent

Rising in Baroque splendor above the Upper Franconian countryside, the twin-towered Basilica of Vierzehnheiligen (Fourteen Holy Helpers) glows in the warm hand-tinted palette favored by Edwardian-era postcard publishers — creamy stone façades, onion-domed spires, and lush greenery frame one of Germany's most beloved pilgrimage churches, designed by Balthasar Neumann and consecrated in 1772. The card was produced by Franz Schemm's Kunstanstalt G.m.b.H. in Nuremberg, one of the premier German art-postcard houses of the early 20th century, and it remains unused, with the address side completely blank save for the printed "Gruß aus Vierzehnheiligen" greeting and catalog number 428153. This pristine, never-mailed example retains vivid color and sharp detail — a clean specimen for both architectural history enthusiasts and German religious-site collectors.
