Postcard 1907 Casino Monte Carlo France #75 Colored Undivided Back Era

Monte Carlo, Monaco1907Pre-linenGood

Gleaming in the Mediterranean sun, the ornate Belle Époque towers of the Monte Carlo Casino rise above manicured lawns and a grand promenade gas-lamp in this vivid hand-coloured early view — a scene that drew Europe's wealthiest gamblers and holidaymakers to Monaco's famous tables season after season. Card no. 75 from an American-market educational series, the reverse carries a charming printed blurb noting Monte Carlo as "notorious on account of its gaming table, owned by the Prince of Monaco and leased to a syndicate" — a candid Victorian-era description that today reads as delightfully frank. The "Domestic One Cent / Foreign Two Cents" stamp indicia places this squarely in the 1898–1907 US postcard rate window, and the divided back suggests post-1907, making this a transitional-era piece with strong crossover appeal for both Monaco topographical collectors and casino memorabilia enthusiasts. Never posted, the card retains clean surfaces throughout.
