Postcard c1902 UB Nuremberg Kaiserburg Castle 5-Sided Tower Trenkler Germany Linen

Nuremberg, Germany1902Pre-linenGood

Bathed in the soft hand-applied color of a turn-of-the-century German lithograph, the Kaiserburg of Nuremberg looms in warm ochres and russet browns — the medieval Kaiserstallung (Imperial Stables) stretching behind its massive five-sided Fünfeckiger Turm (Pentagonal Tower), ivy climbing the ancient sandstone walls while bare spring trees frame the castle moat path below. Published by Dr. Trenkler Co. of Leipzig in 1892 (per the imprint) and consistent with Undivided Back era production, this is a collector-grade early German topographic card in the classic format that defined European postal culture before the First World War disrupted everything. The reverse carries the multi-language international postcard header in red, with a small remnant of an affixed paper label at top-left, and a penciled "3/-" price notation — suggesting this passed through a dealer's stock at some point. Never mailed, it survives in fine condition with only minor edge softening.
