Postcard Marquez Bay Acapulco Mexico Chrome 1968 Used Edna to Florence Aerial View

Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico1968ChromeGood

A breathtaking aerial panorama sweeps across the lush jungle headlands framing Bahía Marqués near Acapulco — dense green canopy tumbles to a white crescent beach, and the Pacific stretches in deep turquoise to a hazy horizon where the coastal city glimmers in the distance. Edna — the same intrepid traveler who climbed the pyramids at Teotihuacán — writes to Florence in Milton, Massachusetts, about mineral baths, massage, hotel swimming pools, and the gentle rhythm of "a little rain every day," signing off with a contented "A very scenic country!" The card is a Cristacolor chrome lithograph from Lito Juventud of Mexico City, and like its companion Teotihuacán card it bears an 80-centavo Mexican airmail stamp, placing both cards on the same Mexico itinerary circa 1968.
