This richly chromolithographed undivided-back card dates to approximately 1900–1905 and captures the Brünig Railway (Brüniglinie) at its romantic peak, when the narrow-gauge rack-and-pinion line threading the Brünig Pass between Lucerne and Interlaken was still a novelty that pulled tourists from across Europe. The station building visible here was later substantially altered.
