Postcard RPPC Palacio de Gobierno Toluca Mexico Real Photo 1937 Unused

Toluca, Mexico1937RPPCExcellent

Monumental neoclassical columns and arched doorways line the stone facade of the Palacio de Gobierno in Toluca, Estado de México, in this crisp real-photo postcard that captures the building's commanding civic grandeur — the Mexican eagle emblem is visible above the central tower, and the cobblestone street below hints at the quiet of an early morning shoot. Captioned in the image margin "Palacio de Gobierno, Toluca Mex. 37" and bearing the printed legend "Recuerdo de Toluca Mex." along the bottom, this is a classically composed architectural RPPC from what appears to be 1937, produced by a photographer using the initials "MF" (or "YF") visible as a stylized monogram at lower right. The pristine unused reverse on Mexican Tarjeta Postal stock, with a pencil dealer price of 250, makes this a fine example of Depression-era Mexican government architecture photography.
