Every gilded inch of the left-side altar of La Valenciana church in Guanajuato blazes with ultra-Baroque extravagance — saints, angels, and floral estípite columns rising in tiers of gold leaf toward a painted vault, one of the finest Churrigueresque interiors in all the Americas, captured here in vivid chrome-era color. Built in the 18th century at the height of Guanajuato's silver-boom wealth, La Valenciana remains a pilgrimage for art historians and tourists alike. This unused card, dated in handwriting to 10/20/72, was sold at the Restaurant y Miscelánea Casa Valadez on the Jardín Unión — still a beloved Guanajuato landmark — and carries card code G-163 in the Registro Artístico series.
