Antique & Vintage Postcards

The neo-Gothic pink stone spires of the Parroquia de San Miguel de Allende pierce a perfect blue sky above cobblestone streets where a man leans in afternoon shade and vintage 1950s American cars line the plaza — a chrome-era snapshot of one of Mexico's most beloved colonial towns before it became a world-famous expat enclave. The Parroquia's famously eccentric facade, designed by self-taught indigenous mason Zeferino Gutiérrez in the 1880s after he studied postcards of European Gothic cathedrals, is itself a story of postcard inspiration — making this card a meta-artifact of that remarkable architectural legacy. Published by Litográfica Turmex as a Vistacolor linen-finish chrome card, code V633, this is an unused example in excellent condition.
