Postcard 1952 Kurort Bad Hall OÖ Austria Spa Multi-View Ledermann Used

Bad Hall, Upper Austria, Austria1952ChromeGood

Four crisp black-and-white vignettes celebrate Bad Hall, Upper Austria's celebrated iodine-spring spa resort, in this 1952 multi-view card: an aerial panorama looking toward the dramatic Traunstein massif, the stately neo-classical Kurhaus, the shaded Kurpark bandstand, and the sleek modernist Trinkhalle mit Terrassen-Café Lauf — a terrace café whose clean 1930s–50s lines speak to the resort's interwar architectural ambitions. The card was sent on 25 June 1952 from Bad Hall itself, posted by a visitor who signs as "Ilse," to "Missi Klein" at Wien IX, Währingsdorfstraße 29/II — a cheerful note in flowing Austrian handwriting explaining she unfortunately cannot make it to Vienna that Sunday ("komme leider den Sonntag nicht") and hopes to come Monday instead, and sends heartfelt greetings. A 1 Schilling Austrian Republic "Trachten" (folk costume) stamp in dark green, depicting a seated child in traditional dress, frankly the card and is tied by the Bad Hall Jod-Quellen (iodine springs) postmark dated 25.6.52.
