Antique & Vintage Postcards

White linen tablecloths gleam beneath antler chandeliers and hand-hewn log rafters in this evocative interior view of the Old Faithful Inn Dining Room at Yellowstone National Park — one of America's most beloved architectural landmarks, built in 1903–1904 by architect Robert Reamer in the celebrated "parkitecture" rustic style. The color card, credited to Haynes Photo and published by J.E. Haynes of St. Paul, Minnesota — the official photographer of Yellowstone National Park — captures the dining room likely in the 1920s, set for a full service with wicker-and-wood chairs, candlestick centerpieces, and the massive basalt fireplace anchoring the far wall. F.J. Haynes and later his son Jack Ellis Haynes held the Yellowstone photography concession for decades, and their numbered postcard series remains among the most systematically collected Yellowstone ephemera in the hobby. Card no. A-97r08 / 23440. The stamp box notation — "Domestic 1¢ / Foreign 2¢" — places printing in the domestic one-cent postcard era.
