Antique & Vintage Postcards

Pedestrians in dark cloaks drift past the soaring marble campanile of Giotto on a sepia-toned Florentine morning — the Duomo's great dome looming behind, the shopfront of "La Roma" anchoring the right side of Via de' Pecori in a scene that captures the city before mass tourism forever changed it. This unused pre-linen-era Italian photographic postcard presents Giotto's Bell Tower (begun 1334) and the façade of Santa Maria del Fiore with exceptional tonal clarity, the street-level life rendered in crisp detail: lamp standards, awnings, and strolling figures in period dress that date the image to roughly 1910–1920. The reverse bears publisher catalog number 2120 10J but no stamp, postmark, or message, leaving the card in pristine collectible condition.
