Antique & Vintage Postcards

From a breezy hilltop vantage, this exquisitely tinted 1907 Polychrome card sweeps the eye across Franklin Park's graceful stone arch bridge, shimmering duck pond, and a tapestry of early-spring trees fading into a hazy residential horizon — a pastoral escape that still captivated Bostonians a decade after Frederick Law Olmsted's Emerald Necklace parks were completed. Postmarked in Lynn, Massachusetts on March 5, 1907 and addressed to Miss Gertrude in Digby, Nova Scotia, the card carries a poignant message written across the image itself in dark ink: "If you remember the last time we were out here for a walk I shall never forget it — will you?" — initialed "V.H.T." — a fragment of intimacy preserved for over a century.
